Dr. Robert Edwards
Dr. Robert Edwards was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. He graduated form the University of Georgia in 1976 with a degree in Biology. He obtained his DDS degree from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1981.
After practicing in Atlanta for two years, Dr. Edwards opened his practice in Rome in 1983. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Floyd County Dental Society. Dr. Edwards volunteers at the Free Clinic of Rome performing dental treatment to the less fortunate in the community. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Rome. Dr. Edwards is married to Frances and they have three grown children Rebecca, Hunter, and Will. In his spare time Dr. Edwards enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, hunting, and fishing.
Dr. Hunter Edwards
Dr. Hunter Edwards was born and raised in Rome, GA. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2008, he attended The Medical College of Georgia, school of Dental Medicine, where he obtained his D.M.D degree in 2012.
Dr Edwards then completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry through the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Through this program, Dr. Edwards received additional training in placement of dental implants, oral surgery, advanced prosthodontics, conscious sedation, and management of the medically compromised patient.
Dr. Hunter Edwards joined his father’s practice of Edwards Family Dentistry in July of 2013. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with his wife, white water kayaking, hunting, fly fishing, riding bikes, and being outside.
Dr. Delaney Taylor
Dr. Taylor graduated with honors from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biology before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Dental College of Georgia. During dental school, she was actively involved in the American Student Dental Association and the American Association of Women Dentists and was honored with membership in Alpha Upsilon Phi for her commitment to service and leadership.
Dr. Taylor is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care with a focus on clinical excellence, personalized treatment, and patient trust. She is passionate about continuing education and strives to stay current with advancements in dentistry to best serve her patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Taylor enjoys traveling, cheering on the Dawgs, reading, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her Yorkie, Stanley. She is excited to become an active part of the Rome community and looks forward to making a meaningful impact.
Jennifer - Dental Hygienist
Jennifer graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a degree in dental hygiene in 1995. She has been part of the lives of our patients and their families for over 15 years. Jennifer participates every year in continuing her education, to keep up with the most current information and treatment options, to give her patients the best care possible.
Jennifer is married to Jeff, and has two sons, Cade and Cason. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, crafting, and camping.
Kristen - Dental Hygienist
Kristen joined Edwards Family Dentistry in 2004. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1998 with an Associate of Science Degree. Kristen feels it is important to have a personal relationship with her patients. She feels it is important to educate her patients as to all of their treatment options, so they can make the best decision for their dental needs in order to obtain optimal dental health.

Kristian - Dental Hygienist
Kristian graduated from Georgia Highlands College with a degree in dental hygiene in 2016. She has been a part of Edwards Family Dentistry as a dental hygienist ever since. Prior to her degree, Kristian had worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Edwards for several years. She is enjoying the evolution of her relationship with patients as she has moved into her new role.
Kristian is married to Austin. They enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Morgan - Dental Hygienist
Morgan is a dedicated dental hygienist with extensive experience in preventive and periodontal care, including her years at Dr. Alford's Periodontal office. She is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy smiles through personalized care, patient education, and a gentle, compassionate approach.
Outside the office, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and their two dogs, Mala and Lady. Together, they love traveling, exploring the outdoors, and making memories with family and friends. Morgan's expertise, warm personality, and commitment to patient care make her a valued member of our dental team.
Elise - Dental Assistant
Elise has been a valued member of our team for six years and brings nine years of dental assisting experience to every patient interaction. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and at ease, and she takes pride in making every visit a positive experience—no matter the reason for the appointment.
Outside the office, Elise enjoys spending time with her husband, Drew, and their three wonderful children. Much of their free time is spent cheering from the sidelines and making memories at the ballpark as they support their kids in sports and other activities. Elise's caring nature, experience, and dedication to patient comfort make her an important part of our dental family.
Lupita - Dental Assistant
Lupita has been a valued member of our team since 2015. Trained in both dental assisting and front office procedures, she brings versatility, knowledge, and exceptional patient care to our practice. As a bilingual team member, Lupita's ability to communicate in both English and Spanish allows her to connect with and serve a diverse patient community. She takes great pride in helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their dental experience.
Lupita proudly served six years in the National Guard and is married to her husband, Jaime. Together, they have three children and enjoy life on their small family farm, where they care for chickens and a cow. When she's not at the office, Lupita helps with her husband's business, J.C.'s Pressure Washing and Painting. In their free time, they enjoy kayaking, hiking, attending concerts, and making memories together as a family.
Grace - Dental Assistant
Grace joined Edwards Family Dentistry as a dental assistant after graduating from the Dental Assisting Program in the fall of 2025. She is a 2021 graduate of Rome High School and brings a strong work ethic, organization, and enthusiasm for learning to our team every day. Grace is highly motivated to expand her knowledge and skills in dentistry, and her positive attitude and dedication make her a true blessing to have in our office. She is committed to helping patients feel comfortable while providing excellent care and support throughout their visits.
Outside of the office, Grace enjoys exploring antique stores and loves the thrill of finding a great deal. Her friendly personality and attention to detail make her a valued member of the Edwards Family Dentistry team.
Alyce - Schedule Coordinator
With 8 years of experience in the dental field, Alyce brings a welcoming presence and strong organizational skills to the front office team. She has been with the practice for 3 years and is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Outside of work, Alyce enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her two grandsons.
Carol - Insurance Coordinator
Carol is the Insurance Coordinator at Edwards Family Dentistry, where she works diligently to ensure claims are filed accurately and paid in a timely manner. She enjoys helping patients navigate their insurance benefits and is committed to making the process as smooth as possible.
Known for her vivacious personality, Carol is a joy to have in the office and a favorite among patients. Outside of work, she is married to her husband, Michael, and they enjoy camping and attending ball games to cheer on their three grandchildren.

Marie has been working in dentistry for over 25 years, with extensive experience in insurance verification, schedule coordination, and claims administration. She currently works remotely for Edwards Family Dentistry, where she specializes in insurance verification. Marie takes great pride in helping provide patients with the most accurate information possible about their dental benefits, ensuring a smooth and informed experience with our office.
